Tom Tawadros – WAM Object Preproduction & Modeling

For my hero asset I was planning on creating a sword of the swash-buckling variety. I was in the market for a nice, fencing-style blade, maybe an epee or even a foil (definitely not a saber). Unfortunately, the Worcester Art Museum only had a single saber in stock. Nevertheless, I’ll work with what I have (i.e. the internet so basically everything).

I did some rough sketches of the large claymore, short sword, and (reluctantly) the ornately decorated saber.

This concept sketch gives a better idea of my…idea.

Beautiful. Simply pulchritudinous. A blade worthy of any rebellious rodent. Here are some progress shots from my 3D model.
