Jasmine Duerk Final Project

Unfortunately, my WebGL build was not working (I had a host of bizarre Unity errors throughout the project so I’m not sure if they were related) so here is a build on drive. (Download the entire folder.)

I think I was actually able to get pretty close to my original concept. Most of the witch hut is relatively the same, and I think that the clutter in the interior of the room adds pretty well to the environment.

I also had a lot of difficulties with the 3rd person player controller. The movement is very twitchy and difficult to control. Also the walking and running animations go into the ground, and the jumping animation does not play at all, and I have not been able to figure out why. In hindsight, I should have used the first person controller and then had NPCs in the environment.

For audio, I used the Max The Magnificent track by Theodoros Konstantopoulos. The skybox was the Wispy Skybox by Mundus on the Unity Asset Store. The fire particle system was Procedural Fire by Erbgameart.

This is my final kit with all of the models I used in this project.

Great work Jasmine. Would have loved to see your witch make it into you final product, but what you created is beautiful in it’s own right. The animation glitch with the mouse going through the floor was weird, but I can only hope it’s a simple fix.

I love the scenery and environment. The aesthetics of the witch house fits right in. It all makes a calm, yet ominous atmosphere.

I think your mouse character’s texturing is very endearing and already gave me the mindset of wanting to protect the mouse before even knowing what the level was about or whether the witch was evil or not. I think your mouse model and texture did a great job of subtly conveying the games objective without any added context which can be hard to do!

So freakin darn beautiful! All of your models and textures flow so well together and I love love love how it all looks. And Mr. Mouse is super darn cute!!

I love all the detail in your final environment! The trees really complement your building, and the overall earthy color scheme is very nice and cohesive.
