Cat in Armor

I was thinking of making one of the main characters; the cat.  The cat would be dressed up in armor as it goes to war against the mice.  But looking at the final product, this cat could be used as a decorative piece as well or instead.

I’m impressed that you tackled armor modeling in Zbrush–I’ve found that hard-surface modeling can be really hard to do with a sculpting tool. That being said, the armor does seem a bit lumpy in places, probably because it’s difficult to get those sort of hard edges in Zbrush. I think it’s neat how you modeled the cat underneath it, to show how the armor goes on it. However, I do think it could use some more detail–it doesn’t have too much in the way of designs or etchings on it right now, and could use some more details to make it more visually interesting. Despite all that, though, it’s still a neat piece.

I like your concept of cat armor a lot. I think there’s a lot that you can do to take this piece to the next level using textures. You could add some engravings and maybe play off of the cats eyes by adding some color. Additionally, you could consider making the armor look more movable by adding more plates and screws. Another idea that you could consider is making the bottom of the armor out of a chain-mail material. This would allow the player to see the cats legs without modeling an entire suit of armor.

I think your armor design looks great. I feel like you could defensively add some more cool stuff to it though. Engravings, segmented pieces, jewels, horns, etc. Otherwise looks awesome

I like the look of the armor, especially how the helmet has holes for the ears. The model itself is a bit lumpy but it gives it a hammered look, so it works out well. Some detail like engravings or more parts would make the armor look even better, especially on the body. Overall looks great.

Adorable piece of armor. I also like that you challenged yourself using only z-brush. I still highly recommend looking into palico armor from Monster Hunter and using that as a reference.
