The idea of doing a grappling hook is unique and interesting, which I can appreciate. Plus I like the idea of it being two different textures–metal and stone. I will say, though, the metal texture looks a bit low-res in comparison to the stone. It could be the metallicness and normalmapping, but still, something to be aware of. I also think it would make sense to make the stone a different color than black–if you think about it, there aren’t that many black rocks, and the texture and color as it is now makes me think more of corrugated metal. Gray might work better for you. I still think that the concept is cool, though.

I like the idea of your design and the natural look that you achieved through stone textures. I would consider adding more elements that make the hook looks like it can actually grab things. This could be done by adding a few screws in Zbrush. I might make the metal in the hook a bit lighter in color so that it is more clearly different from the stone material used in the body. It looks really cool so far!

You went with a really interesting object to model. I think the two materials are a little hard to distinguish. Maybe if you made the body wood or a lighter stone color that would help distinguish the pieces much better. Otherwise, really cool design!

I like the fact that you made something very different and went with the idea of a grappling hook. the colors are very similar so altering one a bit would make the different materials stand out a lot better. Also personally I think if the top was a bit more rounded rather than square it would bring it together more. Overall great job and interesting choice in doing a grappling hook.
