A mace is kind of a weird and different weapon to model, so I think it’s cool that you chose it. Plus, the bites taken out of the metal with normalmapping to show wear and tear look really cool. I do think that it’s strange that they would stretch all the way down to the handle, but you can do what you want there. I think the little bulb thing on the edge of the mace is a really nice touch. I also think that you might want the handle to be a different color than the rest of the sword. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the WAM mace had a more pronounced handle, one that at least had etchings on it. That could be cool to see. The rust is quite a nice touch, though.

Your mace looks really cool so far! I like the look of rust and corrosion you achieved. I would suggest smoothing out either the main shaft of the mace or it’s handle so that it’s more obvious that the low-poly look is intentional in the areas where it appears. It could be cool if you added some engravings to the handle. You could also considering smoothing areas where the mace would be held the most often.

The mace you made was very well done. It looks very similar to the reference photo. The dents added along the shaft were a very nice touch. I would suggest maybe smoothing out the grip and maybe adding some dents on the parts that are sticking out of the mace.

The mace looks great and I really like the worn look to it. Personally I think the if you wanted to smooth an area I would choose the shaft as having the grip be more rough would allow the user to hold the mace better. I also think a bit more texture like the reference photos you took on the handle would also help.

The detailing on this mace is awesome, but I still think its a bit overdone. The dents should be focused more on the points of use rather than the entire hilt. I also think detail engraving on the end would make the handle pop more in the player’s eyes.
