Matthew Figueroa Level Design and Rough model

The level direction I want to take is a platform puzzle level. You need to kind of find ways to work the belay system to your advantage. This is one potential path that can be taken, but the rough model doesn’t show that.

The beginning of the game, because this project would be great to do in the future, is in the well where the player lives. They need to climb their way out of the well. This is the base layout I have so far with the one path.

There are just nice eye candy renders with views looking up and down the well space. Considering its all in one massive cylinder, there isn’t much going on inside until I put details in.

    I think the giant cylinder idea is pretty cool. I like the way you drew it out on the flat rectangle–it shows the flow of gameplay a lot better than if you had done a 3/4 view. Plus it seems like there are a lot of different environment elements (like the chain and spring) that could be used, which is pretty cool.
