For this project I wanted to see what I could do with a single music video. Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road is quite high in the meme economy these days, so it was my first choice. I started my turning the game-pad into a playback controller.
The start button controls start and stop, while the left and right d-pad keys fast-forward and rewind respectively. The up and down keys control volume on the main track. The bumpers each play a sound effect sampled from the song. I decided to use the main buttons on the controller as audio/video effect toggles. The smaller buttons control audio effects for the bumper effects, and the larger ones effect the main track.
This screen capture and controller video were taken at the same time so they should run more or less syncornized.

Good use of both visual and audio filters. Sound clips are memorable and appropriate.
The audio and visual effects are extremely memorable and allow for a large variety of remixing possibilities. All the effects have a distinct style to them and are all interesting to see.
