Comparing the final product of my final project to my original concept, I was able to stick my original idea pretty closely. The construction of the physical board and puzzle had to be amended in a couple of ways, and after my initial presentation I created a second, more in-depth design visualization shown below

The final product ended up slightly different, with the magnetic surface covering the cardboard with holes, insuring that each puzzle piece snaped to the board when placed correctly. I also included a shallow housing at the bottom for the wiring, but a dearth of time and patience convinced me to leave the wires on the outside.

Here’s a video of the process.
