Ryan Doyle: Geometric Abstraction

The Patcher:

The shapes are organized in a grid that corresponds to their counterparts in the max window
The flonums above the grid control the x values of the objects column by column
The flonums on the left of the grid control the y values of the objects row by row
The 3 controls on the right control the z value, object scale, and object shape.
The 3 button controls do the following from top to bottom
1. Turn all shapes black
2. Colorize the picture
3. Toggle the background between white and pink.
Inspired by Piet Mondrian’s Broadway Boogie Woogie

  1. Nice Tetris meets super low res font style. I appreciate the different variations and the ways in which you pay homage to Mondrian while doing your own thing.

This is really interesting. Its almost as if it spells something out when its in color. Also enjoy the neural net like image that is your code, it makes it look alive.
