Hey all,
My name is Kyria, and I’m a junior CS major. I’ve lived in Massachusetts for nearly my whole life. I love art and have been obsessed with drawing since I was very little thanks to inspiration from books, shows and video games. I mainly use more traditional methods for art (watercolor being a recent favorite), but I’ve dipped my toes in digital art more than a few times!
I actually never programmed before I came to WPI, but I am having a good time learning, and now know at least something about a couple languages, such as C, C++, Java, and Python. On my own I am trying to learn JavaScript, and surprisingly, it is not like Java at all.
Last year I took Interactive Electronic Arts with Professor Rosenstock and really enjoyed it 🙂 You’ll get to see all my previous projects as “examples” for the projects you will be completing this year!
Here are a few of my personal art projects.
I like to make cards for my friends and family – here are a few I made last year for Christmas.
Sometimes I give my friends tattoos with Copic Marker (shhh… it’s totally safe). This one’s a little old, but I really like how it came out!
Finally, here is some of my digital art, from another class at WPI: Digital Imaging & Computer Art (which was also with Professor Rosenstock).
I look forward to reading all of your biographies!
I love your drawing of Whiskers!
