Natalie Milgram Modular Kit Concept

After completing this assignment, I am realizing that I will not have time to complete the initial level I envisioned. I now feel that the bridge, Colrab, and Mixamucks are stretch goals. I will be focussing on the residential area, street lamps, and Crinks to start out. My main concept for this modular kit is regarding my sentient buildings. I plan to have multiple sections of building with connecting points. Cylinders would then branch out from there ending in various objects such as windows, diving boards, balconies, door bells, and door knobs. I have created some sketches and color ideas for this kit.

Above are potential examples of building connectors and specifically windows which would be the eyes.
Here I was exploring roofs and also side tables. Various cylinders would branch out from the buildings.
This sketch shows my idea for a multi connector- resulting in many objects branching out.
I collected additional reference on house objects.
I also am possibly making trim pieces in the form of cylinders to cover up some seams. However, with the nature of my cylinders and window connections, I don’t think much trim is needed.
I realized that my level’s look is is very much inspired from K’nex and also abstract art. I would use bright colors, and also maybe try to make some colors swirls with painted textures.
Some ideas for floor patterns and street lamp holders.
I researched some patterns of stained glass and abstract art for inspiration.
I like the look of these buildings, they are wonky and warped.
Some ideas for main object inhabitants (soda can Crink, lawn mower Crink, and street lamp eyes). These objects would be scattered in the residentail area.
Additional research on street lamps.
