Hannah Belan Character Texturing

Here’s my textured character model for my game! While I wish I could do more for his model, I’m happy with the way I textured him for the most-part. The only part I wish I could have spent more time on is the skin itself. I am happy with the folds in the clothing and the way they got textured within zbrush. When I move it into substance I am excited to see how I can pull it to the next level!

I think your character look amazing! I really like how you textured his hair and his cloths! I know you said you wish you could work more on his skin, do you think you will spend more time on that? I think he looks amazing no matter what though!

Hi Hannah, I love the attention to detail on your clothing/shoes. I think the comfy turtle neck suggests December. I am just wondering, will your character have eyelashes or eyelids? Maybe you already added them, but it seems like the eye goes right into the forehead slightly.

I agree that the turtleneck looks very comfy and fits his name well! His eyes seem a little sunken because his skin is much darker around the eyes, which also makes him appear pretty sickly. Maybe the intention is to make him gloomy until he speaks to June.

The colors on the clothing and eyes effectively give off a winter vibe- nice! Do you plan on adding a zipper or buttons on the overshirt?

This character really sells the emotion you described in your game design document. I’m not sure if this was intentional, but the coloration of the skin around the eyes and nose makes him look almost sickly, which conveys the coldness of the setting and drives home your “winter” theme.
