Davina Dawson’s Modular Kit Concept

For my modular building kit, I want to focus on making the room look real and complete. I think it’s easy to forget how complex a space can be, even a space as small as this studio apartment.

I decided that I wanted my game apartment to have an exposed brick wall, because that aesthetic feels right for this game. See the diagram below for a guide for the wall pieces of the modular building kit. There will be 3 different types of walls: the exposed brick, the off white dry wall, and the tiled bathroom walls. There will be two different types of floors. The living room and kitchen areas will have wooden flooring, and the bathroom will have a tiled floor.

Below you can see some reference imaged for the exposed brick. Both of these images also feature wooden floors similar to the type that I would want in my game.

I plan to use similar if not the same assets for the bathroom and apartment doors. I could also use the same model with some different texturing to make the closet doors (as seen below as well).

I plan to also make light switches and outlets to make the space seem more real.

I want the cabinets to be simple, brown, and wooden.

I also want the bathroom walls to be tiled, as shown in the first photo here, but I prefer the floor tiles of the second photo.
