Here are some pictures of my mushroom turtle! I finished really early because I had a super fun time texturing him and ended up getting very ahead. So my last post already had textures on him, so I will go over what I fixed from last time. I had gotten some feedback from friends and from Emma on ways to make him look more friendly. I fixed his eyes to look more like puppy eyes, they are bigger and the pupil is bigger as well. I also added more vines, leaves, and cracks to him to make him look older. I added colors to his eyelids to help distinguish them from the rest of his “normal skin”. I also painted on some wrinkles on him to make him look more like a very old turtle. I am really happy with how he turned out and I think he is adorable!
Hi Courtney, I like your mushroom turle! I think the cracks in his shell add to the character. I would suggest maybe having some areas with less moss or green, maybe the feet, so I can see his skin a bit more.

I love that you gave him so much foliage! He fits into the rest of your world really well. I get the feeling that his shell is metallic and that his mushrooms sway lightly while he moves. One thing I think would improve the texturing is having a darker crease around the underside of his shell. That would help the shell look more distinct from your character’s body.

The built-up foliage and the wrinkles really sell the wisdom in the turtle. I also love the touch of the leaf on its head.

This guy looks ancient, and I mean that in the best possible way. He’s old and withered, already experienced everything nature has to throw at him, and he’s still just happy to be alive. Despite his age and wisdom, he can still appreciate the little things in life, and emanates a positive aura. I have a lot of respect for that. He’s clearly an enlightened being that knows the secret path to true happiness.
