The character I animated is my mushroom turtle! He is a NPC and is very sleepy. The animation is of him breathing while he sits where he is. Since he is an overgrown turtle, he does not move around much anymore.
good stuff! I like the effect of him bobbing up and down, though I wonder what it would look like if his whole body wasn’t perfectly in sync. I feel like it would help maintain the illusion that he’s a creature with distinct body parts and not just an object
That is a very good point, I can see what you meant but I like having him move the same way all over because I think it makes him look more cartoony and cute. But if I was doing a more realistic game I would for sure do your suggestion!
Courtney I love your mushroom turtle animation! I think he’s really cute and you definitely got the cartoony vibe with the whole mushroom bobbing up and down. It reminds me of the soft mushrooms in the mushroom race track of Mariokar Wii, so squishy!

He looks super squishy! I love the soft vibe you’ve made him have with this simplistic animation, it makes me think of jello
Thank you! I also like my squishy turtle friend.

Thank you! I am so happy you like him. I am really happy with his squishing motion!
The timing of the idle animation is very peaceful- I would trust this character.
Thank you! I would trust my mushroom turtle with my life!
