Charlie Baldwin Level Design

Grid map of my level

My game level consists of two major parts: the forest and the dungeon. The forest is a relatively flat area, and the playable area will be bordered by trees, preventing the player from leaving. The player will follow a path down to the entrance of the dungeon. After descending the dungeon’s steps, they will have to traverse 3 main rooms, where they will reach a treasure chest at the end. On the above map, each red X represents where a monster will be placed, so there will be a total of 5 encounters strung together along the players path. (I might remove the first one to give the player a little bit of breathing room once they spawn in) The circled red X represents the boss battle, which is a larger chief monster the player will have to defeat to get to the treasure, denoted by the yellow crown.
