Natalie Milgram Textured Model Progress

Here is the progress on my textured models. There is more assembly needed. Eventually, the slanted prisms will be buildings and each building should have their own limbs and window eyes. I’m having difficulty having adequate lighting in my scene and was wondering if there are any suggestions. I also want this to seem a bit wonky and was wondering if the first person camera snips show a somewhat disorienting scene.

Statement of Meaning: Your project has many memorable qualities to it!
Answer to Question: I think your project does show what you were going for, the first person view definitely showed the wonky feel in class.
Neutral Question: How many buildings do you plan on having in total?
Opinion: I think your project is amazing and really unique.

I plan to have four buildings in the middle and then a few hanging off the edges of the floor. The buildings on the edges will be duplicates of the four main buildings. Thanks for your feedback.

I love the variety of surface detail you have! I think that the first person view definitely feels wonky and disorienting as you intended. A solution for my concern in class about not being able to properly see the structures might be to create more walkable platforms so the player can get up higher.

More light scources and ambient light will help you lighten the shadows. You can find lighting options this way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqZT6KOLQxo

The proportions of the objects are believable for a more urban setting.
Opinion: It’s important for the main models to pop, so I think for the future you should have the background/foreground be simple in color and texture.
