Terry Deng Modular Kit Concepts

Hey everyone.
As you seen from my previous level design, it is very big. In order to make this level manageable for this term, I’m going to essentially cut it down in half. If I have the time, I would build the other half (as a stretch) OR at least have its scenery (less stretch).

I decided in the end to ultimately include the first half of the area where the player runs towards a temple area. Main reason is I feel a larger outside level rather than inside will set the ambience better (and I don’t do well with interior planning). I have also redesigned the first area to include a crystal cave/destroyed buildings area to explore (its just another route to fight enemies). Cutting the map in half will help me since I can also make the zone a little larger. I never mentioned this but this will be set place in Tokyo.

Lesser focus on tall buildings as I can blend it with lighting. Roads as well are supposedly seen far away (as well as bridges which can be road pieces)
Interior will have more detailing. Older building = more wear and tear. There will also be a clash on the old vs the new props.

I should mention since the area is also snowy (its also a frozen world so snow is kind of impossible to melt..naturally), a lot of objects can be hidden away. Therefore, there is an extreme lack of street props (and given the illusion of hidden snow bumps). I do not have this drawn either, but neon signs, holographs, infographics can be easily textured onto build windows. As well as dead bodies which I could have my old hand and arm models made from 3D modelling 1 laid out and be frozen/blackened. (could also have torsos sticking out the snow too)
