My Name is Zhou, which is a Chinese character, and it is pronounced the same as Joe.

My view of art comes from my father. My father is an oil painter, and he expresses his emotions through oil painting. He told me that art should be a personal aesthetic expression and a conveyance of emotions, nothing more. Art should be pure, and “beautiful” is the highest praise for an art work. I don’t know if my father’s thinking is mainstream, but under his influence, I believe that art is about creating beautiful things that evoke emotions.

Before being able to independently create creative art works, basic skills are required. During middle and high school, I participated in training in sketching and watercolor painting and studied playing the drum for a period of time. Although I am not proficient in these, the knowledge I have acquired is enough to support me in independently completing some artistic creations.When I was in college, I got into some digital art tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and some 3D tools. To learn them, I took graphic design and 3D modeling classes at school. The first thing I need to improve is my ability to use various tools and software. Only after mastering the basics can I create the ideas I have in mind.
