Lukas Gandras – Intro & Portfolio

Hey, I’m Lukas Gandras! I’m a senior IMGD student who lives on Long Island. I’ve been playing video games for nearly my entire life, which is part of the reason I chose this major – I’d like to give back the joy that games have given me through their storytelling, art, and music. I’ve mainly focused on 3D modeling and audio production thus far, but would like to use this course as an opportunity to improve my drawing and painting skills. I’m also interested in delving deeper into animation.

Here is some of my creative output from the IMGD courses I’ve taken. Sorry if any of the images are low-resolution!

Model of my own face that I created in ZBrush.
Stylistic house with lighting that I modeled with Maya.
Castle environment created using Unreal Engine. Note that none of the assets in this image are original – this was just an exercise to help me get familiar with Unreal Engine’s features and capabilities.
Textured robot made in Adobe Substance Painter. The robot model was not originally created by me.
Vending machine model created across three different softwares: Maya, Unreal, and Substance.
Soundtrack for a desert area, created with REAPER.
Battle music, created with REAPER.

Just to wrap things up, here are some of my favorite games of all time (unordered):

  • The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
  • ULTRAKILL
  • Vampire Survivors
  • Balatro
  • Rain World
  • OneShot
  • DELTARUNE
  • Hollow Knight
  • Hades
  • The End Is Nigh
  • Celeste
  • Pizza Tower
