Hello! I am Jadon. I’m a IMGD/BA student from Maryland pursuing a technical art concentration. Something I would like to focus on in this course is making full game environments! This is something which I love doing, but have not had the time nor the motivation to take on such a project over the last year or so.

some of my previous level design work, mocking me
I work mostly on level design and 3d modeling, as well as sound from time to time. Much of my experience comes from modding older games, which has slowly morphed into more traditional game development over the years. I still find that lots of modern level design tools have a lot to learn from the tooling of the Quake era.
Most of my current engine experience revolves around Godot, so I am looking forward to seeing what Unity can do as well!
this is a demo of a game which I worked on with one other in the recent August Godot Wild Jam. Here, I worked on some textures, shader effects, and music. (you can find the full game here)
Some influences which have shaped my art are Davey Wreden’s writing (Please play The Beginner’s Guide. I am begging you. Do it), the level design of Valve’s Portal series, and the music of C418 and Hania Rani.

some other things ive been working on recently, including a couple game materials ↑
and some glitchy photo effects using decompression artifacts ↓

i also have an actual portfolio, but it isn’t always up-to-date.

striking – The photo effects are really cool, I also like the tone of the environment renders.
gorgeous! I really love the level design stuff and the static glitchy vibes! Very pretty!
striking! super cool and impressive work!
Dark! I find the photo effects to be really, really awesome, same for the environments. They hit me as aspects of some dark reality!
impressive – big fan of your level design work! it’s inspiring
so cool i like the effect your pieces have
