Character
Name: Abby (clone instance)
Role: Biologist
Psychology: Calm under pressure, clinical curiosity; brief dissociation on wake.
Look: Facility jumpsuit, bare feet or utility socks; condensation on skin from pod; wrist tag with “E-9”.
Motivations: Verify the notebook’s claim, secure essentials, decide whether to step through.
Story
Abby, awakens inside a hibernation pod in Room E-9, a sealed survival annex. The room feels like a contingency bunker—cold LEDs, a humming air recycler, a blast door with a mechanical key slot, and scattered gear.
A notebook reveals this is Abby’s backup plan: if she ever woke up here, it would mean the original Abby died outside and this Abby is a clone spun up from cached tissue and memories. The notebook sketches three hotspots in the room, a partial pass-phrase for the door, and a final warning: “Do not trust the voice.”
The game ends the moment Abby opens the door—whether she feels ready or not.

Concept from my IMGD 3700
Places
Setting: A single, compact sealed survival annex (Room E-9) in a derelict facility.
Landmarks:
- Hibernation Pod (open lid, frost, tube couplers)
- Storage Wall (mag-latches, color-coded bins)
- Hidden Floor Hatch (shows after push over storage wall, grate, cable conduit)
- Messy Table (Consist of a lot of scattering paper and some cups and pens, also where to find the notebook)
- Exit Door (mechanical key slot + simple touch panel with three icon buttons)
Atmosphere: Emergency lighting pulses; occasional power flickers; metallic air; distant thumps.

Things (pickups & interactions)
- Mechanical Key — behind a loose wall panel (scuffed edge).
- Futuristic Pistol — Limited battery.
- Canned Rations — “Soy-Cedar;” (Just to show futuristic background).
- Notebook — core narrative; room diagram, three icon words (e.g., mirror / maiden / nine), tally marks.

Style
Art Direction: Retro-futurist industrial; sterile hardware with human scuffs.
Shapes/Materials: Chamfered rectangles, exposed fasteners, braided cables; brushed aluminum, painted steel, frosted glass, rubber gaskets, paper.
Palette: Deep slate, gunmetal, clinical teal, frost white; amber for emergency/door accents; notebook cream pop.
Lighting: One cold overhead; low amber rim at door; dust motes/volumetrics.
UI: Diegetic—battery LEDs on pistol, pod diagnostics, door glyphs. Minimal HUD.
Camera (choose one): Top-down for escape-room clarity
Gameplay
Genre: Micro room-escape with environmental storytelling.
Session: 1-5 minutes.
Objective: Collect essentials, decode panels, open the door.
Core Loop: Look → Read → Use → Exit.
Side Feature — The Clone Loop (Die-Restart):
After picking up the pistol, Abby can commit suicide (hold-to-confirm; fade-to-black—no graphic depiction).
- On death, the screen cuts out; the pod hisses; Abby wakes again in the pod.
- A fresh corpse now lies exactly where she died. Corpses persist, silently confirming the clone truth.
- Corpses can be inspected to retrieve any items dropped before death (simple “Take All” prompt).
- Optional: the notebook gains a new tally mark each loop; tiny environmental shifts (a flicker, a drip) sell time passing.
- The loop is purely narrative/optional—no progress requires death, but using it can create short-cuts (e.g., drop a corpse by the door to remember the panel sequence or to keep items staged).
Beats:
- Wake in pod → learn movement/inspect.
- Notice scuffed panel → pry → Key or Battery.
- Read Notebook → truth drop + three icon words.
- Optional pistol pulse to pop a locker for rations/battery.
- (Optional) Test the Clone Loop → wake to a corpse; retrieve items.
- Use Key + press three panel icons → Exit → Cut to black.
Experience Goals:
A compact, melancholic puzzle about identity and contingency—quiet tension, tactile objects, one decisive door.
Concept Sketch — What to Draw
Canvas: 16:9. Angle: pick one camera and commit.
Must-show reads (left → right):
- Open Pod (frost, hoses) with waking Abby;
- Storage Wall with pistol cradle and a popped bin;
- Floor Hatch and cable bundle;
- Exit Door with mechanical key slot and three icon buttons glowing amber;
- Notebook open on a fold-down tray (room diagram + icon words);
- A fresh corpse on the floor (tasteful silhouette; no gore), if you want to preview the loop.
Value/Color: Cold blues/greys overall; amber accents (door/panel) and cream (notebook) as focal pops.

Interesting! Are you planning to implement the gameplay since they’re very detailed?
i really like the details in the character design. will the color pallete be more cool?
Interesting concept! What inspired the clone loop?
OOO I LOVE THIS HOLY BALLS ITS SO FLESHED OUT. Do you think you’ll add more story wise if you have time to?
I really like how much you’ve planned out the mechanics already. How did you come up with the simple door ending?
