For my geometric abstraction piece I chose Thomas Downing’s “Dots” for my inspiration. I really liked how despite the simplicity of the shapes, they create visually interesting patterns and I really liked the muted color palettes he used.
I used the dots and simplistic patterns from his style and added more vibrant colors to my dots.
For the patch, the three buttons at the top change the the colors of the dots to those seen above.
