Hi! I’m Lucia, and I am an IMGD Art major in my junior year. I was born in Italy and moved to the US when I was 4, and I still have very close ties there and visit often. I aspire to be a game designer and create art for indie games. I have always loved making art, and I was originally interested in pursuing a career in concept art. However, I have found that I really enjoy making art for games overall, including designing and modeling assets, animation, and level design. I am so excited to expand my skills in this class and become more familiar with the implementation of assets into Unity! Aside from digital art and games, I really love needle felting and watercolor, as well as colored pencil and paint. I enjoy painting 3d prints (I included a picture of a white dragon mini I painted, I did not sculpt the model!) and I have started painting on playing cards recently.
I have taken many art classes at WPI, and I took AP art (drawing and painting) in high school. I also did two MQP art ISPs last year (one for wedding bells and one for SPI-glass). I have learned a lot of new things and improved at many others and I can’t wait to see where this career might take me 🙂
(also, I really love birds!)
