For this assignment, I decided to continue off my first project in this course. I began with my “Christmas Abstraction Project” Max file. I recoded the metro segment like we did in class and I connected that to the first of two audio panels. I recorded (with my iPhone) several segments of audio which I loaded into Max in the correct order to match with the images on the screen. I then had to do some math to make sure I could scale each individual box at the right time, and so that it would fit inside the graphics window of max. I then added a rhythmic beat, which uses sounds the professor provided the class via the canvas website. It sounds groovy! Enjoy!

Interesting juxtaposition of words and images. I like that you’re using your own sounds.
The narrative voice is hilarious in my opinion and the color theme is spot on too. You can try and add some movement to the shapes to make it even more appealing.
I think it is cute how the rhythm is “Spring, Summer, Fall… Christmas!”. Sometimes that is how I like to think of the year as well. The music in the background behind the voice beat is a nice touch.
This is great! It really pushes the viewer to seek meaning out of 6 boxes. A nice touch would have been to slightly change things after every sequence of 4 seasons, like rotating the canvas or otherwise. Your descriptions for the colors were all very intriguing and I can definitely relate to a few.
