Isaiah Fleischer – Meme Remix

For this project I decided to remix the classic Pirated of the Caribbean meme. A fair number of these memes feature the famed penny-whistle, and it an effort to spare the user’s ears I chose to make only one out of the eight memes actually feature the instrument.

I took the “build-your-own-meme” approach, giving the user eight memes to choose from and some scaling effects to play with. When the right button is clicked all of the memes begin playing simultaneously, and the user is free to cycle between them as they please. Further, they can use the right joystick to scale the image vertically and horizontally, causing some truly seizure-inducing visuals.

Finally, they can click the left button to bring everything to a halt, which is usually needed after about 30 seconds of using this piece. This piece was a lot of fun to make, but nom I’m very sick of this meme.
