Hey all,
My name is Kyria, and I’m a sophomore CS major. I’ve lived in Massachusetts for nearly my whole life. I love art and have been inspired to draw since I was very little thanks to various books, shows and video games. I mainly use more traditional methods for art (watercolor being a recent favorite), but I have never been afraid to make art digitally as well. I “took a break” from making art for a couple of years, but have found myself becoming more interested in creating more art as of recent.
Computer Science is a brand new field that I decided to choose when I was accepted into WPI. This means that I didn’t actually program at all before I arrived here. However, I feel more accustomed to programming now and I really hope to apply my newfound knowledge to my art! I would love to merge the two categories into one somehow, and have even thought quite a bit about making my own video game.
I don’t know much else about circuits, motors, or other tech, but I’m here to learn! I can’t wait to explore a new artistic medium which I have never tried before.
Here are a few of my recent projects:
I like to make cards for my friends and family – here are a few I made recently.
Sometimes I give my friends tattoos with Copic Marker (shhh… it’s totally safe). These are a little old, but I really like how they came out!
And here is some of my digital art, from another class at WPI (C18 Digital Imaging & Computer Art with Professor Rosenstock).
