Han Liu Interactive Animation

This Project focuses on desktop “elements”: a phone , a pencil, a bottle with water, a mouse and an apple. The spirits reveal themselves as you click on it. GO and check the video! All elements and the background desktop have corresponding sound effects, the MAX set up is to make sure every layer pops on top when designated, and goes back to bottom when playing finished.

I love the whimsical desktop! That ghost trollface from the phone was hilarious.

  2. Noah Hillman says:

The sounds worked very well with the animations, very spooky. Your logic to change the layers is very nice, but it may have easier to save the animations with transparent backgrounds.

  3. Nick Sorensen says:

I liked the troll face at the end, I was worried that there was going to be a really loud scream. I would try adding more steps to the mouse movement, animate only does linear interpolates so the movement doesn’t look very organic. Also, this wasn’t covered in class but the top two inputs to the speaker in max are left and right audio, that’s why you only have the left channel playing sound.

  4. Isaiah Fleischer says:

Spooky! I like how all of the animations were sequenced sounds and illustrations rather than simple particle effects. Having the mouse move on its own and become an actual mouse was very clever.

  5. Aidan Sensiba says:

That last part with the ghost got me pretty good! The way you turned ordinary things like a pencil and computer mouse into something unexpected was neat.
