Han Liu Geometric Abstraction

This work is inspired by the works of Piet Mondrian, Thomas Downing and Josef Albers, I created a squre travelling pattern (also can be adjusted to any rectangle) for simple geometric shapes in Max, and I added random change of scale synchoronized with color. The  three bangs each corresponds to travelling pattern, scale change and color change.

I like the organization of the shapes and the use of alternating the color and size of the shapes. Though, I think it would be better if the animation used more than one color at a time for all the shapes (for example, make each type of shape start at a different color in the animation, or change colors at a different rate).

I really like how you used 3 dynamic elements (translation, scaling, and color) but kept them asynchronous. It really keeps the viewer on their toes and avoids the feeling that the pice is repeating itself.

I like that you changes the location, size, and color of your shapes. The movement adds another layer to your piece that makes it that much more interesting to look at.
