Finished Game – Flappy Drev

For my final post about my game, I will have a lot of repeated information from my previous posts about it. However, I would first like to say that this project has been incredibly fun to work on! I came into this semester wanting to learn Unity better (it is my practice intention), and this game was perfect for that. I still have a lot to learn, but simply going through the process of making this game and splitting up all of the parts of making it has improved my understanding enormously. I can’t wait to show off the game in class next week (although if I were making this game for real, I would love to have improved it a lot). The game works and all the assets are created by me. Using a specific palette for the game was never something I cared much about before this project, but it made the game look better. I will certainly be keeping that in mind for future projects. My favorite part about doing this project is that the first game I made when I started coding was Flappy Bird, so it was cool to see how far I’ve come since then!

Although I have already posted these before, I will put some videos of the gameplay here:

I also would like to put some of the code I wrote for my game here in case anyone would benefit from seeing it! A lot of it was from me watching videos and reading posts online to see how to write it:

I am very excited to do another project for this class in the next term! It will be one I care about more and have more time for so I will be trying to make it as good as I can get it!
