The Game of Your Life

The Game of Your Life
“What’s fo Dinner, a Fable of the legends”

Concept: You are in my kitchen. The scene will not change (meaning it will need to be more detailed). The Kitchen is filled with food broken up into sections. You will have a meal to make, and some ingredients fly at you. You will have to catch the ones you don’t want and throw them back or slice the ones you want. Order is essential too.
The Controls: A 3×3 grid that represents partitions of the screen. By tapping on a section. A small animation will play. I am thinking of using wood or small plates of metal.
Scope: I’m going to make it a single dish to make. Two actors the player can control and NP sprite that will randomly move around and activate events that cause food sprites to start descending. Overall, I think I’m pushing it a bit. I might have to cut the NPC sprite and have food spawn the layout randomly

the layout and visual design will be as follows ( hopefully). The screen is broken up into nine sections. Each will have a button assigned to it. And should match 1 to 1 with the interface’s 3×3 formation.

Food will come from the top of the screen. And fall down the screen. If the player wants to use the item, they can “slice down” and cut it into the pot. If they don’t like the item, they can either let it fall all the way or throw it back for extra points by starting at the bottom and sliding their hand/finger up.

I have to make everything very readable for colors, so I have a mix of Autumnal and Winter colors. I’ll have to play with some color corrections down the road, but I’ll start with these.

I don’t want to use a reference or mood board yet. It wouldn’t help me yet. I will need one soon, but it would be a useless ATM. I will have to play with scale and detain before I understand what direction would help most.
