An introduction to Webster

Q) Who am I?
A) I’m a student for life, a risk-taker, and a straight shooter. I love to refine and get better at the things I love, such as

2D art, 3D art, and teaching others. Sometimes I take on more than I can handle but always find a way to make everything work out and come out ahead. Meanwhile, I do my absolute best to keep a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance with my astonishing wife.

Q) Where are you from?
A) I hail for the warm west coast. Working and living in the Silicon Valley area and attempting to live and work in the greater Los Angeles area. I’ve moved around a lot, but I am happy to call Worcester my new home.

Q) How do art and its creative process interact with my life?
A) I didn’t start or attempt to make art part of my life until the last semester of high school. After that, it has been everything. I attained my BS in Game art and Design while living in San Francisco Bay Area and used many of my skills and knowledge to work at Apple and Anatomage doing many awesome projects. I even worked on video game indie projects on the weekends. After that, I’ve been doing freelance art until now. Constantly doing art contests, I do love designing and winning (^_-).

Q) What is my experience with digital and traditional art?
A) I’ve been very fortunate to pick up and adapt to many styles of art and their processes. I’ve done 3D printing, Car design software, Low poly modeling, High fidelity Anatomical modeling, hand painted texturing, PBR material networks, Concept art, Splash art, stage production/construction, large scale building mural painting, Animating (2D and 3D), VR Asset integration, and many other minor things.

Q) Other Arts I’d like to learn/get better at?
A) I’d like to become an instructor. I’ve been very fortunate to experience the shit show of industry and want to prepare many for the grey area between industrial design and game design.

Q) Can I talk more about my intended practice?
A) Well, not really; it’s my goal to learn how to teach. I’m here to figure all this out. I’m lost on how to take the next significant steps.

Q) What else should you know about me?
A) I’m excited to be here; not much that I can think of at the moment, but if you have any questions, please feel free to hit me up on discord.

Q) What are 5-10 of my recent works?
A) let’s take a look at the most recent works

Penguins and Pantheons (IMGD5000 roughly 4 weeks)

Rigs of Color ( Tutoring and Modeling)

Impressive. I trying to decide on using one of the other badges — since I’ve already used “impressive” for one other person — but I feel it’s what best applies. Your work impressed me when I saw it while touring this campus, and it impresses me now. I’m looking forward to working with you in my other classes.

Your displayed pieces are colorful and are gorgeously detailed. Your work experience, as always is impressive and it’s even more impressive that you wish to teach it to others. Your entire profile is thought-provoking, especially for me.
