Final Project Proposal

on

My final project proposal is based on my Intention Plan for this semester. First, let me say that I have no idea where the time went. I cannot remember a semester that has flown by with the speed this one has. Second, I am laughing hysterically at what I wrote for my Intention Plan. My intention was to improve my ability to show my portfolio and website in a responsive way.

I figured I could do this in small steps by starting out repairing an application I needed to make responsive. The steps I wished to follow were as follows:

  • Add struct like feature for determining dot placement in Millefiori
  • Add solid color feature
  • Make interface compatible with more platforms and browsers
  • Use interface skills to repair website for more platforms and browsers

The following image is an example of a fabric Millefiori quilt.

My greatest challenges are as follows:

  • I do not prioritize my personal work, this is about finding balance
  • It is easy to let myself down instead of others
  • I am feeling a time crunch which increases my anxiety which demotivates me for working
  • This feels fun so I worry I will allow it to take over my time instead of doing something for someone else, this too is about finding balance
  • I fear a project absolutely must be accomplished to the point that I ignore everything else and block everything else out and focus only on that one goal.
  • Find balance for work and personal work

In order to meet my challenges, I was supposed to come back and check on my progress toward my goals daily if not weekly (she says, laughing long and hard yet again).

I am must choose to update my application so it will work on other people’s computers regardless of their system OR to update my website so that my portfolio is work and is also responsive to other systems.

This is what my application should look like on all systems: (Try it out)

This is my current website with only the Prototyping link is working the way I want it to. For some unknown reason, my site broke a year or so ago. ArundelDesign.

This link will take you to the work I have begun on a new site. New Stuff.

I like the direction of the new responsive website and I think I want to spend my time fixing the rest of that before I fix my application. What do you think about the beginning of the new responsive website? What can I do to improve your first impression? How well do the fonts, colors and overall design integrate at this point?
