Computer Vision Gestures – Kailun Liu

My project is inspired by live performances, where the audiences’ reaction can influence the performer.

I used the motion scrubber to achieve the effect that when you do nothing in front of the camera, the performer acts normally. But when you clap your hands fast, the performer will also increase the speed of her juggling.

This is a really cool idea! I like how you’re interacting with the performer, even though they are just a recording. It’s a bit unclear, do you use the sound and visual of clapping to trigger the performer, or just the visual?

That’s one creative thought process behind your interactions influencing the performance, it makes it feel more interactive and makes you a more active player.

I really like your concept of audience affecting performance and I think this was expressed well through your art!

The idea that you are kind of motivating the performer with your clapping is quite interesting, and it would be cool if he did something else as a reaction afterwards, such as taking a bow.
