My name is Josiah Boucher and I was born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon. I attended a small arts middle & high school, gaining exposure to a great variety of art forms. I gained an appreciation of the multidisciplinary nature of many artistic endeavors and enthusiastically pursued theatre. I sought to touch every area of the stage, including acting, writing, lighting, and more. Over time, I focused more on the design and construction of theatrical sets like the one shown below.
In more recent years, I’ve worked on small game development projects, such as Ash Garden, a small push-block puzzle adventure, and A Jersey For Helmutt, a companion App for a museum exhibit a the Worcester Art Museum.
My most beloved project is a cooperative effort to make a 3D puzzle game with unique mechanics and highly cultivated puzzles designed to wordlessly teach the player how to master the game with tacit tutorialization.
I hope to expand my repertoire of artistic ability to assist my pursuit of game development. My practice intention for this course is to gain an understanding of 3D modeling, building on my design and construction experience making theatrical sets and environments for the stage.
