Practice Intention – Millefiori

on

Main Goal: Complete responsive web application – Millefiori

Smaller Goals:

  • Add class to handle snap validation
    • Create a blank class
    • Add an array feature to be able to compare to other objects made from the same class
    • Push or pop array elements
    • Then add complexity to implement it
  • Add solid color feature
  • Convert to responsive interface for mobile and desktop use
    • Research ways to make web pages responsive
    • Review code and make adjustments
  • Prepare and repair portfolio website to host application
    • The prototypes page is working fine.
      • Find out why other pages are not working as well
    • Consider reworking size of banner image

Challenges:

  • I do not prioritize my personal work, find balance, get up and take a walk to clear your head.
  • It is easy to let myself down instead of others, remember that I have time enough for prioritizing me first.
  • My anxiety increases burnout, cynicism and is demotivating, remember to meditate daily on a schedule.
  • Things that feel fun make me think I am not doing what I am supposed to be doing, remember that it doesn’t have to feel difficult to be productive and allow yourself to feel the enjoyment.
  • I lack flexibility and I have to be willing to let something drop, remember that dropping something doesn’t mean you will not come back to it later.
  • I cannot keep all of my projects and deadlines in my head, remember to write them down, keep a document that contains all the deadlines and check it when you check this practice intention.

Measuring Progress:

  • Work on a different smaller goal for each of the first 4 documented practice sessions
  • Identify two areas that need more work by the time the 4th documented practice is complete
  • Work on those areas for the final two documented practice sessions
  • Remain flexible and allow for modifications to the practice intention
  • Review practice intention and assess if it still makes sense – rejoice when it does and embrace the gift of change if it doesn’t
