My intention for development within my personal practice will be across the integration of 3D or visual effect work within my live-action video content. This has been a goal I have been working on for a while, but in the past year or so I have been able to add additional layers of visuals through drawing over my content, and recently I have had a few projects that are using the 3D Lidar models that I have either captured with my phone and manipulated through blender and my video editor.
I still find this process to be very slow and time-consuming. Recently I have tried to even use the google maps plugin within blender to add this additional 3D layer to my work but still having trouble with completing specific tasks due to lack of experience or struggling to find a fast enough process that looks good and is connected to works I am already creating.
I also want to extend this learning process to more specific 3D processes as well, like UV shading of realistic materials, reproducing higher image quality from photogrammetry, and or creating poly abstract humans models or faces that can be manipulated alongside live-action, working with a 3D camera in virtual space. This also coincides with virtual screens and cameras that can be used to bring 2D live-action work into the 3D world as an additional virtual space for cameras or other enhancements to happen.
I enjoy mixing medias and formats and want to spend more time leanring how to integrate 3D processes into my live action works.
The technique that I am after is also something I want to spend more time researching as I am not sure I know all of the best example of how this process is being handled by others. There are many images I have in my head that I have seen in passing but knowing who the specific artist are is something I would like to explore with this time as well to understand where the influences are coming from.
