Final Documentation – Sydney Smith

And just like that, the term is done! I had so much fun seeing everyone’s cool projects and working on my own this term.

First I will begin this post with some progress shots from throughout the last few days that I was putting the pieces together. First is the large bumblebee, with a few pieces foiled.

Next is the same bumblebee, but with all the pieces foiled.

The next progress shot is of both bees completely soldered, and the honeycomb halfway tacked together.

The last progress picture is of the bees and honeycomb completely soldered together.

And now the final product! I just have to say again, that while this project took up about 50 hours, and was a pain to get perfect sometimes, it was all worth it in the end. I am proud of myself for exploring a new medium, and will hopefully try again one day!
