I was able to create a rough build of what I hope for the final project to look like. I am really liking how the project is so far coming out, especially with the laser cut acrylic incorporated into the piece. I discovered that I would need some sort of shutter, whether that be a mechanical shutter where only one image is shown at a time, or a timed strobe that allows one image to be seen at a time.

I started to experiment with the stobe first, and had fairly good luck with an app I found that turned my phone camera into a strobe, but I didn’t like how the piece looked with my phone on top. Multiple people in class suggested using a mechanical strobe instead by separating each individual photo with a wall to block the light between each successive image. I plan to incorporate this into my final design this week.
I also plan to incorporate simple RGB LED lights into the design with a slightly different cover than seen here to hold these LED lights. Instead of going down the strobe, or electrical approach like I was doing, I am going to go down the more mechanical route using a mechanical shutter.
