This past week I’ve had some failure and some success! I will start with the success. On Saturday I went to a stained glass workshop where I learned the ins and outs of stained glass as well as the tools I will need. I created a beautiful fall leaf, and I am so proud with how it turned out! Here is a picture of my leaf!

And now to my failure. After taking this class, I’ve realized that I was WAY too ambitious with my butterfly idea. I just think that it is to small and detailed for a beginner, as well as too many pieces, which I have now discovered is harder that I thought it was. But there is good news! I have another idea! I saw the picture below and was inspired to continue the bee theme that I started in D-term last year.

I really want to go with a honeycomb/bee theme similar to this image.

Below I have attached my inkscape sketch of what I want this project to look like. I really want to go for an irregular shape, and I want to add in the bee design that I made in D-term. The next step on my list is to acquire all of the materials! Hopefully I can have them all by the end of the weekend!
