Dominick Timpanaro Introduction

My name Dominick Timpanaro, and I am from Clifton Park New York. I have always enjoyed doing art throughout my life, whether it was chalk, paintings, doodles or anything else I could try.

My major is architectural engineering, being able to see and create art in any form will help me with future projects involving buildings.  I use art to express myself, and I sway from being serious to being far from it.

My inspiration comes from cartoons, movies, nature and buildings. But most stuff randomly pops into my head, and I try to do it. I don’t have one specific style, I just go with what I’m feeling.

I used Microsoft paint for many years until learning photoshop and 3d modeling/design programs. Some programs are; blender, unity, Autodesk programs, photoshop and a few different video editing software. I don’t have any experience with coding and putting electronics together. I’ve made a few models for someone in a video game. I enjoy writing poetry though I don’t do it often. Recently I drew a chalk maze through my drive way and into the backyard, but it rained as I was finishing it.

For the past 5-6 I’ve taught 4th to 8th graders stop motion animation, photoshop, DJing and movie editing. This took place at a summer camp that runs for 3 weeks every summer.

Dark! I like your drawing of the angler fish. The shading to transition the light to the darkness is very smooth. The angler fish’s teeth and blank white eyes give an unsettling feel to the drawing. Also, shout out from another AREN major from NY!

Striking! I really like your drawings you showed here, especially the duck one. I especially like when I noticed that you were using sharpies and really think that’s impressive.

Familiar – I love Finding Nemo, and the angler fish painting is really cool, with the teeth coming out from the mouth so bluntly, it gives it a much creepier feel. The glow around his lure is also came out really well.

Striking: The bold colors in the sunset drawing really stood out to me. The angler fish also looks like something straight out of a deep-sea nightmare, dark for sure.

colorful – you have been able to work a lot of color into many of your pieces here, and it reflects well in how they have turned out.

COLORFUL! As others have mentioned, I appreciate the use of bold colors in your works. I also like the process video you added – shows how much effort goes into getting all the details right, approaching it from all angles.

Colorful undoubtedly, the Jerry drawing has a cool geometric jigsaw sort of thing — I really like those. I also found it funny how much the paper moved in that tiktok video, I probably do the same thing but didn’t think about it as much until now. Now I’m wondering if your artwork should get the thought-provoking badge…
