My practice intention for the semester will focus on crafting 3D models for environments and structures to be used in video games. Mirroring the design and carpentry I’ve done for real-world theatrical sets, I want to cultivate the skills necessary to facilitate similar artistic experiences in games.
This practice intention will include the following goals:
- Identifying relevant software to create and color 3D models.
- Creating models of environmental set pieces using identified software.
- Putting the set pieces together in a cohesive scene within a game engine such as Unity.
