Failure, Recalibration & Iteration: William Schwartz

this week I continued to print more parts of the head, I also started to work on the spectrum analyzer. here are some pictures of how things are going.

this is what the head currently looks like its coming together, I still have a few more parts to print.

this is a sketch that I have running on the teensy that computes a 256 point FFT, and then takes the frequency response and maps it to different leds. Im still not satisfied with how it looks, however it is enough to start wiring up the head.

one thing that I am still unsure of is that I don’t know if I want to separate all the parts of the head with cardboard, or if I want the heads colors to bleed a bit more, I think it would make a cooler effect, so im experimenting with using white paper in between to sections, l but have not constructed any of the cells with it yet. things are still going pretty well, but it is going to take a while to get all of the LED’s in the head and wired up, so that is what I am going to be working on next.
