Hi everyone! My name is Vanshika Rohera, and I am a senior Electrical and Computer Engineering major. I am from Curacao, which is a small island in the southern Caribbean. Art is very important in my life because it is my first hobby. Over time, the form of art I feel drawn to has changed. For example, when I was younger I enjoyed painting, then I moved into charcoal drawings for a bit, and recently even got into photography. One of my goals is to continue discovering my new interests in art!

Digital Art

Digital Art is one of the forms I would love to explore more. The first time I really worked with anything digital was at WPI. I took a digital painting course and it was a really great experience. There is definitely a lot I would like to improve on!

Traditional Art

Traditional art forms like drawing and painting are defintely where I have the most exposure. I often enjoy trying different art styles when exploring painting or drawing. I first started out using lead pencils and have tried other forms like charcoal and pastel. Similarly, I have tried watercolour and acrylic paint!

Technical Art

I had not heard of the concept of technical art until I took Art in the Makerspace. It was one of my favourite courses at WPI! I learned to laser cut and 3d print.
