Luftwerk is a studio founded in 2007 by Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero in Chicago. Their studio creates immersive light shows that explore the viewers perception of light, color, and space using various tools. Video, Light, Shadows, Sound, and custom sculptures are all used to create a canvas for light where one wouldn’t be normally. Their pieces are tailored to the environment and work to convey historical context and emotion through the use of the light.

They have made exhibitions with notable architects such as Renzo Piano, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Mies van der Rohe.
