Artist Bill FitzGibbons

Bill FitzGibbons is a sculpture and installation artist that has been producing artwork for over 30 years. He has completed more than 30 installations, working in 5 different countries. He has won numerous awards including the COD Award for his Light Rails installation, shown below. He was given the title of Offical State Artist by the Texas State Legislature in 2012, and since 2011, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the International Sculpture Center.

Öndvegissúlur, Poem of Light: Temporary installation in Iceland in 2010 for the annual Museum Night. It was paired with a performance by the Rehkjavik Choir
Alamo Lights: First artistic lighting of the Alamo in Texas. This was paired with a performance of the San Antonio Symphony for the inaugural Luminaria.
