For my sanity, I told myself I would finish the piece itself by today and leave simply nice documentation for later. And I did! It definitely took a lot of work and is not what I initially envisioned, but it’s done. I honestly don’t love the look of it all attached to a skirt, but it was my initial idea, so, for now, they are attached. The skirt doesn’t really fit the panels, and the panels don’t fit the skirt (or really each other, to be honest).
This week, I colored all the panels, finished the plastic on the rose one, and designed & made the last panel (fish). Of course, this included shrinking a lot more plastic. Then, I attached them all together, added fabric to the top, and safety pinned them to a skirt(I did make the skirt this term, but not for this purpose, in honesty.) I’m glad to be done, I just wish I had something I could be a bit more proud of. If I had properly estimated the time it would take, I probably would have designed differently, but that’s ok, we live and learn!
