So I tried seeing if I could get a light painting video effect by layering frames from a video in Adobe Premiere. It ended up being more work compared to physically doing out everything old school stop motion style so that is the method I used. I created an initial intro scene for a video idea called Blobo featuring a little blob character. The video isn’t as polished as I would like and I am considering sticking to still images since this 28 second video consisting of around 150 photos took me around four hours to make and it does not flow cleanly enough for me to be satisfied with it. Would probably be better if I had more drawing and animation experience. I think I will stick to still images instead. In my opinion clean simple light painting images have better impact than a messy stop motion like this.
