Intro – Sameer Desai

Wassup everyone, I’m Sameer a Sophomore CS Major from Ashland, MA. My hobbies are: volleyball and digital music production.

Here’s some of my stuff:

Below are gifs from a project website I built with the p5.js creative coding library. It has three unique audio visualizers. You can play with it here (It’s a little laggy tho): https://smeeboi.github.io/senior-project/final/exhibit01/index.html

Exhibit 01 uses matter.js physics engine. Size of circles is linked to music.

Exhibit 02 uses ml5.js machine learning library for eye tracking. Size of pupils is linked to music.

Exhibit 03 using p5’s WebGL mode for 3D rendering. Size of cubes is linked to music.

I like making art with software. I got into Computer Science while trying to find audio visualizers for my music. Figured out it’s not too hard to make my own. For the future, I hope to make YouTube videos and build interactive websites and large scale interactive art installations. Right now I am working on making entertaining YouTube videos and learning how to use Adobe Premiere for video editing. Will be posting on my YouTube channel more. I also have some fun little videos on my Instagram (linked below)

I want to give you the dark badge. I really like your computer graphics works. They look dark but in a comfortable way. They’re really inspiring.

I’m giving you the “inventive” badge. Your work has great vibes

INVENTIVE: The Interactive Touch Project you made reminds me of Kanye’s Stem Player in a way. Very cool way to combine Engineering and Music.

STRIKING: the intersection of audio and visuals is always great to see. When the two fit together some real immersion goes down. I like the dark vibes that allow viewers get lost in your music.

Dark – but in the most awesome way. I like how you incorporate randomness and motion in your works.
