Basic Concept
I want to 3D model and print an anatomical human with LEDs controlled by its orientation
How it will work
An accelerometer can read orientation by sensing the direction of acceleration due to gravity. When it is upright, I want to create a regular, even blinking pattern. When tilted enough I want the blinking pattern to be multicolored and rapid.
Reach goal
I only plan to attempt implementing this if I have adequate time and energy, The idea is that the accelerometer will track the orientation of the heart and the LEDs will remain parallel with the ground as if it is a liquid. This would be more challenging and thus is a reach goal.
Workflow

Basic model in Blender
Functional modeling in solidworks
Need to experiment with how many polys it can work with
Could be a cool low poly design
Print in white or clear filament
Which ever diffuses light nicer
Wire up electronics
Program in C++ or python
The heart idea looks really compelling to me! If you want to make the heart self-contained, would the electronics inside be visible?
I think the premise of picking up a heart and rotating it is really cool. How will the heart be printed? Is it one piece or a couple that snap together?
That stretch goal is super cool and would be incredible if you can pull it off!
